Brady involved in car accident

Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was involved in a car accident Thursday morning in Boston, but was unhurt and was with the team at practice later in the day.

The Patriots confirmed the news on their Twitter feed and added that Brady was not hospitalized.

Video on the club's website showed Brady at a Thursday walkthrough, and multiple sources confirm the signal-caller also participated in afternoon practice.

Brady was uninjured but "shaken" after the serious two-car accident that occurred near his home in the Back Bay section of Boston, according to early reports.

The Boston Herald later in the day reported that Brady refused treatment, then was taken from the scene by an unidentified person, presumably to Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots open the 2010 season on Sunday at home against Cincinnati.
