NCR will host 2013 USGA Women's State Team

Far Hills, NJ (Sports Network) - The United States Golf Association announced on Thursday that NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio will host the 2013 USGA Women's State Team Championship.

NCR has a storied history that includes three previous USGA Championships, as well as the 1969 PGA Championship. Among those three USGA Championships were the 1986 U.S. Women's Open and 2005 U.S. Senior Open.

"We've had a long-standing tradition of holding championships at NCR Country Club, going back to the 1969 PGA Championship and carrying on through to the 2005 U.S. Senior Open," said Steve Bolerjack, the club's general manager/chief operating officer. "This just continues our important relationship with the USGA. We thought it was appropriate timing for us to host the Women's State Team Championship. We're very excited about hosting this event."

The USGA Women's State Team Championship -- which is held every two years -- will be contested from Sept. 17-19, 2013.

Ohio won the championship in 2003.
