Martis Camp Club gets 2013 U.S. Junior

Far Hills, NJ (Sports Network) - The United States Golf Association announced on Thursday that Martis Camp Club in Truckee, Calif. will host the 2013 U.S. Junior Amateur.

The dates for the championship are July 22-27, 2013.

"There is every reason to believe that Martis Camp Club will provide a wonderful test of golf for the world's finest junior golfers," said Ben Kimball of the USGA Rules and Competitions Department. "The USGA is thrilled to be taking the 66th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship to Martis Camp and working with the members of the club and community. This golf course steals your eye away from the beautiful mountain scenery that surrounds it, which is saying a lot."

This will mark the first USGA championship contested at Martis Camp. The club hosted qualifying for this year's U.S. Mid-Amateur, and will host a qualifier for the 2012 U.S. Junior Amateur.

Jordan Spieth rolled to a 6 & 5 win over Chelso Barrett at Gold Mountain Golf Club at this year's U.S. Junior Amateur.
