Lukacevic joins Providence after trade with Philadelphia

Providence, RI (Sports Network) - The Providence Bruins announced that the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins have reassigned Ned Lukacevic to the team after acquiring the forward and a fourth round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Andrew Alberts.

Lukacevic, 22, is in his fourth professional season after beginning the year with the Philadelphia Phantoms. The left wing spent all of last season in the ECHL, posting career-highs in goals (17), assists (19), points (36) and penalty minutes (52) for the Reading Royals.

Boston also recalled defenseman Matt Hunwick and center Vladimir Sobotka from Providence, brining the AHL team's roster to 23 players, including 14 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.
