Sharks reassigned Rome, Fornataro; sign DaSilva

Worcester, MA (Sports Network) - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced that the American Hockey league club has reassigned right wing Ashton Rome and loaned rookie center Matt Fornataro to Phoenix of the ECHL. Also, the Sharks signed left wing Dan DaSilva to an AHL contract.

Rome skated in 126 games with the Sharks over the last two seasons, recording 15 goals and 11 assists in those contests. Fornataro skated one game with Worcester this season and recorded an assist.

DaSilva attended the Sharks training camp before being released on Oct. 8. The 23-year-old has recorded 23 goals and 24 assists in 122 career AHL games with Lowell, Albany, and Lake Erie.
