Rampage winger Winnik joins Coyotes

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes recalled left winger Daniel Winnik from their American Hockey League affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, it was announced on Monday.

The 23-year-old recorded one assist in 23 games for the Coyotes this season before being assigned to San Antonio for conditioning on Jan. 1. The 6- foot-2, 210-pound Winnik also has recorded four penalty minutes in five games for the Rampage this season.

The Rampage also announced that goaltender Joel Gistedt has been recalled from the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League. The 21-year-old has played in 14 games with the Sundogs this season, posting a 4-9-0-0 record with a .853 save percentage.
