Minnesota Wild (34-30-6) at Columbus Blue Jackets (28-31-11), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild will try to get their playoff run back on track tonight when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

The Wild, who are six points behind Detroit for the eighth and final postseason berth in the West, had won three straight games before getting pounded, 5-0, in Nashville on Thursday.

Pekka Rinne stopped all 17 shots he faced to lead the Predators to the easy win at Bridgestone Arena.

Josh Harding was pulled after allowing four goals on 26 shots through two periods. Wade Dubielewicz made 10 stops in the third period for the Wild.

"I thought it was the start that we wanted; we generated a couple of good opportunities, but we weren't able to score," Minnesota coach Todd Richards said. "We lost a lot of battles and spent a lot of time in our own zone."

Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom, who has sat out the last five games with a groin injury, is questionable for tonight's contest.

Minnesota has been awful on the road this season, posting an 11-21-3 mark as the guest. After tonight the Wild will play their next two games in St. Paul, including Sunday's home test against Calgary.

Meanwhile, with just 67 points on the year the Blue Jackets have all but been eliminated from the postseason. Columbus enters tonight seven points behind Minnesota in the West standings.

However, Columbus, which made its first appearance in the playoffs last spring, does come into tonight on an upswing, having won three of its last four contests.

The Blue Jackets have played their last four games without captain Rick Nash, but the star winger is expected to return tonight. Nash, who leads Columbus with 28 goals and 57 points this year, was suffering from a lower-body injury and was also dealing with a bout of the flu.

Columbus earned a win in its last game on Monday, defeating the visiting Edmonton Oilers -- the only team with less points than Columbus in the Western Conference. Kristian Huselius played a huge role with a goal and added three assists in leading the Blue Jackets to the 5-3 victory over the Oilers at Nationwide Arena.

Antoine Vermette sealed the victory with an empty-net tally and dished out two assists for Columbus, which was coming off a 5-1 loss to St. Louis on Saturday.

Jakub Voracek, Chris Clark and Marc Methot each registered a goal for the Blue Jackets. Steve Mason stopped 29-of-32 shots and improved to 3-1 lifetime against Edmonton.

"There were a lot of good things in the game that I really enjoyed," Blue Jackets head coach Claude Noel said. "I thought our defense looked good and were really active in the defensive zone."

Tonight marks the finale of a four-game homestand for Columbus, which is 17-11-7 as the host this year.

The Wild and Blue Jackets are meeting for the final time this season and Minnesota has taken two of the three matchups so far. The Wild have won seven of nine overall in the series and have taken three of five in Columbus.
