Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Jonathan Quick stopped 31 shots and Alexander Frolov notched a goal and two assists as Los Angeles downed Dallas, 5-1, at American Airlines Center, in the first game after the Olympic break for both clubs.

Anze Kopitar, Brad Richardson, Jarret Stoll and Ryan Smyth also tallied for the Kings, who have won four of their last six games. Drew Doughty added three assists.

Mike Ribeiro picked up the lone score for the Stars, who had won three of four coming in. Marty Turco allowed all five goals on just 22 shots in defeat.

"We're a team that needs everybody, and we know that," said Stars head coach Marc Crawford. "We had a few too many passengers tonight, and we can't. We're at that level that we can't have three or four or five guys not be at a pretty optimum level, especially on our defensive corps."

The Kings picked up the lone goal of the first period on Stoll's tally at 5:44.

Los Angeles went up 2-0 at 3:15 of the second as Frolov deposited the rebound of Doughty's shot over a prone Turco. Richardson made it 3-0 at 11:33 off a centering feed from Doughty, then Smyth's power-play score provided a four- goal cushion at 17:46.

"I felt we did a good job after that first period," Doughty said. "I kind of felt they shied away for a little bit, and I think that's why we capitalized on them there."

Ribeiro struck on a Dallas power play at 5:19 of the third period, but Kopitar sealed the victory with a man-advantage goal with seven seconds to play.
