Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Paul Kariya continued his climb toward the 400- goal plateau with a pair of scores as St. Louis blew out Dallas, 6-1, for its season-high fifth consecutive victory.

Kariya, who also had an assist, has 398 career goals. Twelve of his 14 goals this season have come on the road.

Alexander Steen, Patrik Berglund, Brad Boyes and T.J. Oshie also lit the lamp for the Blues, who started their six-game road trip with a 5-2 win over Phoenix on Tuesday. Chris Mason stopped 29 shots for his fifth straight victory.

"Going into the (Olympic) break there, I thought we were playing our best hockey of the year," Mason said. "Fortunately enough, we seem to be carrying it over after the break. We're playing hard, getting the pucks at the net and making it difficult for the goalie."

Loui Eriksson had the lone score for the Stars, who have lost back-to-back home contests coming out of the Olympic break. Marty Turco allowed four goals on 11 shots before being pulled in the second period. Kari Lehtonen stopped 14 of the 16 shots he faced the rest of the game.

"We've obviously gotten a long way away from our core," Stars head coach Marc Crawford said. "Our defensive play has been the hallmark of what we do. We're not playing great in that area right now."

Kariya scored on a shot from the right circle 9:28 into the contest, but Eriksson tied it from in front at the 15:16 mark.

Goals just 17 seconds apart from Boyes and Kariya pushed the Blues ahead. Boyes scored at 17:28 when his shot from the right circle beat Turco high to the glove side. Kariya then found the net on a blast from the top of the left circle.

Steen scored 1:50 into the second, while Berglund and Oshie had tallies in the third.
