Final Score: Anaheim 1 - Vancouver 4
Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Daniel Sedin had a goal and two assists, as the Vancouver Canucks handled the Anaheim Ducks, 4-1, at General Motors Place.
Christian Ehrhoff, Alexandre Burrows and Ryan Kesler also lit the lamp for the Canucks, who maintained a five-point lead over Colorado for first in the Northwest Division. The Avalanche won 4-3 in a shootout against the Kings on Wednesday.
The Canucks bounced back from a 3-2 loss at Edmonton on Tuesday.
"I thought we played a decent game yesterday too," Canucks forward Henrik Sedin said. "We were in a slump, but now we're back on track."
Andrew Raycroft made 30 saves for Vancouver, which snapped a two-game skid and sits third in the West with 94 points.
Saku Koivu had the lone goal for the Ducks, who have dropped the first two games of a three-game road trip and are 11 points behind the Red Wings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.
Jonas Hiller turned aside 26-of-29 shots for Anaheim, which has lost eight of its last 12 on the road.
The news got worse for the Ducks as forward Ryan Getzlaf, the team leader in points, left in the second period with a right ankle injury.
"We're going to look at it tomorrow and see how it reacts before we make our decision on Edmonton (Friday)," Getzlaf said.
Ehrhoff's slapper on the power play got Vancouver's offense going at the 8:31 mark of the first period.
The Canucks made it 2-0 on Daniel's goal with 3:12 remaining. The forward made his way to the point and backhanded the disc high into the air over Hiller's head.
Burrows lit the lamp at the 6:19 mark of the second to extend the Canucks' margin to three. Anaheim turned the disc over behind its own net and Henrik Sedin slid a pass to Burrows, who chipped the puck into an open net.
Raycroft made 14 saves in the first and eight in the second.
Koivu scored at the 8:04 mark of the third to cut the gap to 3-1. Teemu Selanne controlled the puck in the slot and slid a pass to his left for Koivu, whose wrister beat Raycroft.
Kesler put the game away with an empty-net goal with 29.1 seconds to play.
