Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Henrik Sedin posted a goal and two assists to give him an NHL-leading 104 points on the season, and the Vancouver Canucks cooled off the red-hot Phoenix Coyotes, 4-1, at GM Place.

With the three points, Sedin is now three ahead of Washington's Alex Ovechkin for the league lead. Alexandre Burrows added a goal and an assist, while Mason Raymond and Daniel Sedin each tallied in the victory, Vancouver's 10th in its last 12 home games.

Roberto Luongo was strong in net, making 32 saves to help the Canucks inch toward another Northwest Division crown. Vancouver now stands seven points ahead of second-place Colorado, and the Avalanche have just seven games remaining.

"It was a real good game for us without a doubt," said Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault. "(Henrik's) line played one of their best games of the year on both ends of the rink. That combined with our (goaltender) being better than their (goaltender), and we won the game."

Radim Vrbata scored the lone goal for the Coyotes, who came into the game 8-1-1 in their last 10. Phoenix remained four points behind the West-leading Sharks for the top spot in the Pacific Division with five games to go.

Ilya Bryzgalov was not as sharp in net as he has been lately for Phoenix, allowing four goals on 29 shots in defeat.

Vancouver needed only 37 seconds to move in front for good on Burrows' slapshot from the left circle that eluded Bryzgalov.

The Canucks doubled their advantage on Raymond's tally at 4:08, but Ryan Kesler gave the Coyotes an opportunity to get back into the game.

Kesler drilled Phoenix defenseman Derek Morris into the glass, with Morris going face-first into the boards. Kesler was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for boarding with 6:18 to go, giving Phoenix a five-minute power play.

"His intention was to go shoulder-to-shoulder," Vigneault said of the hit. "Morris turned at the last second, and Kesler hit his numbers...Then all of the sudden there's a major and a game misconduct, and you have to deal with it."

The Coyotes capitalized on Vrbata's tally with 3:20 remaining, as the forward held the puck through the slot before firing a shot past Luongo from the right circle.

Bryzgalov, though, took the wind out of Phoenix's sails with an enormous mistake. Vancouver cleared the puck while killing the major penalty, and the Coyotes' netminder went back to set up the rush. He made an ill-advised no- look pass from behind the net pass right to Henrik Sedin, who quickly gathered the puck and shoved it in the open net for a shorthanded goal and 3-1 lead after one period.

The Sedin twins extended Vancouver's lead to three in the second period. Henrik Sedin had his back facing the net in the slot and flipped a no-look pass to Daniel Sedin, who was off to the side of the crease. Daniel Sedin quickly redirected it underneath Bryzgalov's pads for a 4-1 advantage at the 12:16 mark.

The rest of the second period went scoreless, and Luongo made seven saves in the third to keep Phoenix from mounting a comeback.
