Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Scott Hartnell scored two goals and Jeff Carter had two assists in Philadelphia's 3-2 win over Carolina at the Wells Fargo Center.

Claude Giroux scored the other goal and Sergei Bobrovsky turned away 26 shots to earn the win for the Flyers, who have won four in a row and five of their last six.

Patrick Dwyer and Joe Corvo netted the goals for the Hurricanes, who have lost three of four while scoring only six goals during that stretch.

Justin Peters took the loss after yielding all three goals on 37 shots in his second start of the season.

Both teams were denied on chances in close during the first half of the first period before the hosts tallied 12 1/2 minutes in to start the scoring.

Ville Leino fed Carter in the slot for a backhander that caromed off the skate of Jamie McBain to Hartnell, who gathered the loose puck in the slot, spun and lifted a backhander over a prone Peters for his third goal of the year.

The 'Canes converted a turnover into the tying goal just over three minutes into the middle session.

James van Riemsdyk was stripped of the puck by Dwyer near the Carolina blue line. Rookie Jeff Skinner then sent Dwyer in alone on Bobrovsky and he ripped a wrister from between the circles past the rookie netminder for his third of the season.

"That seems to be the thing right now, we're not getting the bounces," said Dwyer. "If we keep working hard at it and keep pushing ourselves, the bounces will start coming our way and, hopefully, we'll be able to get this monkey off our back and start putting some pucks in the net."

Philadelphia scored a power play goal with 8:39 to play in the middle stanza to regain the lead for good.

Giroux won a right circle faceoff to Mike Richards, who passed in the high slot back to Giroux, who spun and slapped a one-timer past Peters just five seconds into the man advantage.

Just 6:30 into the third period, Carter won a left circle draw back to Kimmo Timonen, who sent a wrist shot from the midpoint that deflected off Hartnell, as he was moving towards the slot, past Peters for his 18th career two-goal game.

"I don't know if takes a certain player," Hartnell said when asked about working in front of the net. "A lot of people don't want to pay the price to get to the net, but that's where the goals are scored - rebounds, tips. That's where the majority of my goals are scored."

Corvo came out of the left corner and flung a shot from the outer edge of the circle through traffic and past Bobrovsky to trim the lead to 3-2 with 26.8 seconds to go in the game.

The Flyers won the ensuing faceoff, sent it into the Carolina zone and never let the visitors advance out of their own end to end the game.
