Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Pyro, Saturday's winner of the Louisiana Derby, finished as the 4-1 favorite in the second Kentucky Derby Future Wager of the year. Eclipse Award winner War Pass closed at 9-2 and the mutuel field was the third pick at 6-1.
A total of $325,306 was wager during the four day future pool. The third pool will run from Thursday, April 3 through Sunday, April 6.
Pyro gained the support of the fans after posting a three length victory in Saturday's running of the $600,000 Louisiana Derby at the Fair Grounds. He is scheduled to make his last Kentucky Derby prep start in the Blue Grass Stakes the week after the final future pool.
War Pass, winner of the 2007 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, was the 5-1 morning-line favorite, but has just one start this year. Last year's two-year-old male champion is set to start in this Saturday's Tampa Bay Derby.
