Sun 24th, August 2008

South Williamsport, PA (Sports Network) - Tsuyoki Setoguchi scored the go- ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning on a Kennon Fontenot wild pitch, as Japan held on for a 4-3 win over Lake Charles, Louisiana in the consolation game of the Little League World Series.

Hawaii will face Mexico for the title.

Takumi Ozeki picked up the win after he gave up three runs -- two earned -- on four hits in 5 1/3 innings. Ozeki also drove in a run for Japan. Shodai Mizuno recorded the final two outs to earn the save.

Setoguchi had two hits, including a double, and scored twice, while Yutaka Takeshita also had a pair of hits and knocked in a run.

Fontenot had two RBI and scored a run for Louisiana. Peyton McLemore allowed four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits in four-plus innings to take the loss.

Louisiana was stunned by Hawaii, 7-5, in the U.S. final, watching a 5-1 lead evaporate in the sixth inning, while Japan lost 5-4 to Mexico in the International final.
