Norfolk's Dos Santos named MISL Player of Week

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Norfolk SharX defender Gerson Dos Santos was named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week on Tuesday for Week 9 of the season.

Dos Santos had a six-point game, including a match-winning 3-pointer with 30 seconds to play, as the SharX earned their first victory of the season, 18-16, over the Rochester Lancers last Thursday.

Milwaukee opened last week's action with a 10-6 win over Rochester on Tuesday, and the Missouri Comets defeated the Wichita Wings 10-7 on Wednesday. Wichita rebounded Friday with a 12-10 win over Missouri.

On Saturday, the Baltimore Blast handed the Milwaukee Wave their first loss of the season 9-4, and the Syracuse Silver Knights beat Norfolk, 23-13. Rochester defeated Norfolk, 24-11, on Monday to wrap up the week's matches.

The league resumes Friday, when Syracuse visits Baltimore and Missouri visits Milwaukee. On Saturday, Rochester visits Baltimore and Missouri visits Wichita to complete the upcoming week's action.
