Rapids sign goalkeeper Joyce

Commerce City, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rapids signed goalkeeper Ian Joyce, the Major League Soccer club announced on Tuesday. The Rapids also announced the club released forward Facundo Diz and did not offer a contract to 2010 third round draft pick Chad Borak.

Joyce, a 24-year-old goalkeeper out of Seton Hall, has played his entire professional career in England, first joining Grays Athletic FC in 2007 before moving to Watford and most recently Southend United.

Per club and league policies, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
