Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) - The San Jose Earthquakes used a Chris Wondolowski goal and a solid defensive performance to edge the Colorado Rapids, 1-0, in Major League Soccer action at Buck Shaw Stadium on Saturday night.

The win is San Jose's third in its last four games to move it a game over .500 early in the season.

Wondolowski scored the game's only goal in the 33rd minute when he took a pass from Ryan Johnson and ripped a left-footed laser off the crossbar and in from 18 yards out. It was Wondolowski's third goal of the season.

The 'Quakes (3-2-0) will aim to continue their solid start to the season vs. surging Red Bull New York on Saturday, while Colorado (3-2-1) will aim to rebound on Wednesday vs. Los Angeles in its next MLS fixture.
