Boca Juniors wrap up Apertura with win over All Boys

Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sports Network) - Boca Juniors have run away with the Apertura campaign in 2011, and they wrapped up the season with a 1-0 defeat of ten-man All Boys at La Bombonera on Sunday.

Dario Cvitanich scored his fifth goal of the season in the 78th minute, capitalizing on the man advantage after Juan Pablo Rodriguez was sent off just after the break.

The result helps Boca Juniors preserve their unbeaten Apertura campaign as they finish with 43 points, winning 12 and drawing seven. They finish 12 points ahead of Racing, Velez Sarsfield, Belgrano, and Colon, which are all tied on 31 points apiece.

Racing finished as runners-up based on goal differential, even though the club fell to Velez Sarsfield, 1-0, on Monday to conclude its campaign.

Elsewhere on Monday, Javier Chevanton scored twice to help Colon to a 4-1 win over last-place Banfield, Godoy Cruz snapped a four-game winless run with a 2-0 defeat of Atletico Rafaela, San Martin earned a 1-0 win over San Lorenzo to finish the season with a five-game unbeaten streak, Independiente extended its unbeaten run to seven games with a 2-1 win over Tigre, and Lanus played to a 2-2 draw with Newell's.

And on Sunday, Arg. Juniors edged Olimpo and Belgrano topped Arsenal, both by a 1-0 score, while Estudiantes defeated Union, 2-0, thanks to goals from Mauro Boselli and Christian Cellay.
