FC Copenhagen on the verge

Copenhagen, Denmark (Sports Network) - Defending Danish Superligaen title- holders FC Copenhagen are on the verge of two league records as the Denmark season closes in on its conclusion.

First, if the champions win at home versus Aalborg BK on Saturday, the Lions will defend their title with five fixtures remaining. It would be the quickest to clinch a championship in the history of the league. If Copenhagen loses, it can still win the championship if second-placed Midtjylland loses to second- to-last placed Silkeborg at home. Secondly, if Copenhagen maintains it's current 16-point lead through the end of the season, it will earn another record - the largest title-winning margin in Danish history.
