Ajax hands PSV second straight loss

Amsterdam, Netherlands (Sports Network) - Luis Suarez scored his 27th goal and Ajax handed PSV Eindhoven its second consecutive defeat following a 25-match unbeaten streak, 4-1 Sunday at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Eindhoven started the season on a 25-game unbeaten streak, but has lost two in a row to drop five points behind Twente in second place in the Eredivisie.

Siem De Jong, Urby Emanuelson and Marko Pantelic also scored for Ajax, which closed within one point of PSV. Suarez leads the league in scoring by nine.

Ron Vlaar scored in the 90th as Feyenoord tied Heracles 1-1 to solidify fourth place, Roy Beerens scored in the 83rd as Heerenveen defeated Vitesse 1-0, and Willem II defeated Sparta 3-1.

Bryan Ruiz scored two goals for Twente as it opened the weekend with a 3-1 win over Den Haag on Friday.

On Saturday, Mounir El Hamdaoui scored a hat trick to lead AZ Alkmaar to a 6-2 win over RKC Waalwijk, Ajilore Oluwafemi scored twice and Groningen topped NAC 3-0, Jacob Lensky scored in the 70th to lead Utrecht over Venlo 1-0 and Willem Janssen and Mads Junker scored to lead Roda over NEC 2-0.
