Blackburn's Robinson could miss four weeks

Blackburn, England (Sports Network) - Blackburn goalie Paul Robinson injured his calf Saturday and will be sidelined for up to a month, the club announced Tuesday.

"It looks like we will be without Paul for up to four weeks," Blackburn coach Sam Allardyce said, according to the English Premier League's website.

Robinson tore his calf muscle in the match against Tottenham, and in addition to missing time for Blackburn, has hurt his chances of earning a role on England's World Cup team.

The former No. 1 goalie for England, Robinson has not played an international match since October of 2007 under former coach Steve McClaren. He was called into the team in October by current coach Fabio Capello, but did not play.
