Dortmund, Germany (Sports Network) - Sebastian Jung and Alexander Meier scored goals in the final 25 minutes to help Eintracht complete a 3-2 comeback victory against Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday.
The visitors went ahead in the eighth minute with a goal from Benjamin Kohler, but after Mats Hummels equalized nine minutes later, Lucas Barrios handed Dortmund a 2-1 lead with a little over 30 minutes to play.
However, Jung leveled the contest in the 65th minute and Meier scored the winner nine minutes later, moving Eintracht three places up the Bundesliga table and into seventh.
Patrick Ochs set up the opening goal with a right-wing cross to the middle of the penalty area where he found Kohler, who had plenty of space to head the ball inside the left post.
Hummels equalized nine minutes later from a corner kick as Eintracht failed to properly clear the ball and Mohamed Zidan played it to the feet of Hummels, who scored from inside the six-yard box.
Halil Altintop poked a shot past Dortmund goalkeeper Marc Ziegler, but Hummels retreated in time to clear the ball off the goal line.
Altintop had another opportunity with a free header from the middle of the area, but he missed the target, while Barrios notched his 11th goal of the campaign to put Dortmund in front in the 57th minute after a nice pass from Zidan.
Jung was able to pull the visitors level minutes later when his free kick took a deflection off of Dortmund's Nuri Sahin and found its way past Ziegler, and they went in front in the 74th minute when Altintop played Meier in on goal and he beat the keeper with a shot inside the far post.
Dortmund had one final chance to snatch a point in stoppage time, but Felipe Santana headed over the goal from inside the six-yard box.
Sunday's other contest saw Mainz climb into eighth place as Bo Svensson's goal right before halftime was enough to give his team a 1-0 win over Monchengladbach.
