Dortmund suffers Hummels injury blow

Dortmund, Germany (Sports Network) - Borussia Dortmund expect to be without key defender Mats Hummels for up to six weeks.

Hummels was involved in a sickening collision with Schalke goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller during his side's 2-1 defeat on Friday evening.

Hummels was unable to complete the match and was immediately taken to the hospital where a broken jaw was diagnosed.

Club physio Markus Braun now expects the former Bayern Munich youngster to be sidelined for six weeks.
