Hamburg loans striker Berg to PSV

Hamburg, Germany (Sports Network) - Hamburg loaned 23-year-old striker Marcus Berg to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on Thursday.

Berg joined PSV on a one-year loan deal. PSV is coached by former Schalke boss Fred Rutten. Berg scored four goals in 30 matches last season for Hamburg, and has a contract with the German club through 2014.

"It's important for Marcus to be getting match practice in. We wish him all the best and every success for the coming season," Hamburg Sporting Director Bastian Reinhardt said on the Bundesliga website.
