Iniesta a major doubt for Club World Cup final

Barcelona, Spain (Sports Network) - Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is a major doubt for Saturday's FIFA Club World Cup final against Estudiantes after picking up a thigh injury during the semifinal victory against Atlante.

Iniesta had to be substituted during his side's 3-1 win with tests later confirming he had sustained a muscle injury in his left thigh.

The 25-year-old will undergo a further scan to discover the full extent of the problem.

A statement on the Catalan club's official website said: "Iniesta is virtually ruled out of the Club World Cup final on Saturday against Estudiantes."
