Milan's Pato could miss United clash

Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato must wait until Monday to find out whether he will be ready to play in next week's Champions League last-16 second leg clash against Manchester United.

The Brazilian star picked up a hamstring injury in the Rossoneri's 3-1 Serie A win against Atalanta on Sunday and Milan will not make a decision on his involvement until the last minute.

He definitely misses the league game against AS Roma this weekend and it would come as a blow if he is forced to sit out the showdown next Wednesday as Leonardo's men look to overturn a 3-2 first-leg deficit.

A statement from AC Milan read: "AC Milan announces that Alexandre Pato today had an MRI that has shown a strain in his right biceps femoris without real muscle lesion.

"The player will undergo further tests on Monday morning."
