Undefeated Sparta Prague wins Czech title

Prague, Czech Republic (Sports Network) - Tomas Repka scored and Sparta Prague edged Teplice 1-0 on Saturday to complete an unbeaten season and win the Czech Republic Gambrinus Liga title.

Sparta Prague finished with 16 wins and 14 ties, and only secured the title on the final day of the season. Jablonec finished one point back, and Banik ended two points behind.

Sparta entered the final day of the season level on points with Banik, but the match-winner by Repka two minutes into the second half secured the undefeated campaign and the league title.

Banik settled for a 1-1 draw against Pribram, while Jablonec topped Budejovice 2-0 to overtake Banik for second place.
