. LINFIELD and Cliftonville drew a blank in front of the Sky Sports cameras in a somewhat tepid Monday night encounter at Windsor Park.

The Blues extended their lead at the top to three points with Cliftonville still undefeated in third four points adrift but, crucially, with two games in hand. Of the limited chances that were created in the first half Linfield threatened through a Damien Curran left-foot shot and Michael Gault header although both were comfortably dealt with by John Connolly. For Cliftonville Francis Murphy came closest with an early free-kick which went over. After the break chances from Mark Dickson and Thomas Stewart were the nearest the Blues came to finding a way through and while the Reds did attempt to crank it up a gear towards the end what little they did create proved fruitless.
