Fiorentina's Gamberini out with shoulder injury

Florence, Italy (Sports Network) - Fiorentina defender Alessandro Gamberini faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury while on international duty.

The 27-year-old dislocated his left shoulder in the opening stages of Italy's 2-1 win against Cyprus on Saturday.

Gamberini had to be replaced by Andrea Barzagli after only three minutes of the World Cup qualifier.

He is expected to miss Fiorentina's opening Champions League clash against Lyon on Sept. 17.
