Borriello hoping for Italy recall

Milan, Italy (Sports Network) - AC Milan striker Marco Borriello is hoping his recent impressive club form will lead to an international recall.

Borriello took his tally to nine Serie A goals this season after getting on the scoresheet during the Rossoneri's 3-1 win over Atalanta on Sunday.

Afterwards he set his sights on a recall to the Azzurri fold ahead of the upcoming friendly against Cameroon.

"A Nazionale return? The papers say this, but I have not received the call," explained the former Genoa and Treviso frontman, who has won three full international caps.

"My objective is to win with Milan so that I can return to the national team."
