Toluca rallies to earn draw with Pachuca

Toluca, Mexico (Sports Network) - Edgar Duenas headed home the equalizer 12 minutes from time as Toluca rallied for a 1-1 draw with Pachuca in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals on Tuesday.

Dario Cvitanich put the visitors in front after 34 minutes, but Duenas leveled the two-legged semifinal in the 78th minute before Toluca had both Miguel Almazan and Diego Novaretti sent off a few minutes later.

Cvitanich created the first goal with a good diagonal run that allowed him to get behind the Toluca defense and take a pass from Paul Aguilar. He then rounded goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera and tapped the ball into the empty net.

But Toluca will go into the second leg on level terms as Duenas found space near the penalty spot to bring down a corner kick and drive the ball inside the right post.
