UNAM takes first leg against Cruz Azul

Mexico City, Mexico (Sports Network) - Pablo Barrera scored in the 24th minute and UNAM held off Mexican rival Cruz Azul for a 1-0 win in the first match of their CONCACAF Champions League semifinal Wednesday night.

The second leg is April 6 at Cruz Azul at 10 p.m. (ET).

Edgar Duenas headed home the equalizer 12 minutes from time as Toluca rallied for a 1-1 draw with Pachuca on Tuesday in the other semifinal, also featuring two Mexican clubs.

Toluca visits Pachuca on April 7 for the second leg at 8 p.m. (ET).
