Pachuca tops Toluca to reach CONCACAF final

Pachuca, Mexico (Sports Network) - Edy German Brambila scored six minutes into the match, and Pachuca held on for a 1-0 win Wednesday night to edge Toluca on aggregate, 2-1, to reach the CONCACAF Champions League final.

Pachuca, which won the event in 2007 and 2008, will try to win its third title in the last four years against another Mexican club, Cruz Azul, in a two-game, aggregate final later this month. The winner qualifies for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Pachuca has not lost since the first round of group play in August. Cruz Azul beat UNAM 5-0 on Tuesday to advance on aggregate, 5-1, in another all-Mexican semifinal.
