Osorio leaves Stuttgart for Mexico

Monterrey, Mexico (Sports Network) - Mexico defender Ricardo Osorio has left Stuttgart after signing for Monterrey on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old played in all four of El Tri's matches in South Africa and will now return to his homeland to continue his club career.

Osorio spent four years in the Bundesliga where he made 73 league appearances and helped Stuttgart win the title in his first season at the club.

He has previously played with Cruz Azul in Mexico and chose Monterrey ahead of Greek side Panathinaikos.
