U.S. forward Gomez joins Mexico's Santos

Mexico City, Mexico (Sports Network) - United States forward Herculez Gomez, who appeared in three matches at the 2010 World Cup, has signed with Mexican club Santos.

Gomez, 29, left U.A.G. (Tecos) for Santos, his fourth Mexican club. Gomez left Major League Soccer in 2009 for Puebla and also had a stint at Pachuca. He had seven goals for Tecos last season.

Capped eight times for the U.S., Gomez has played for the Los Angeles Galaxy, Colorado Rapids and Kansas City Wizards in MLS.
