Glasgow, Scotland (Sports Network) - Celtic midfielder Paul Hartley fears that he faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an ankle knock in Scotland's friendly international defeat to Argentina.
The former Hearts star could miss Saturday's league match against St Mirren and Tuesday's crucial Champions League clash with Aalborg.
Hartley said: "I took a kick on the ankle and now it feels swollen and stiff.
"I know it's not what Gordon Strachan wants to hear but I'll see Celtic's medical staff to establish how bad the injury is.
"I'd rather play at Love Street on Saturday and then go to Denmark with the rest of the team first thing on Monday morning.
"I know it's important to maintain our run and go on to win the league - and the points we've been accumulating since the start of September will go a long way towards helping us do that.
"But I just don't know how badly I'm hurt."
