Dunfermline lands Kerr

Dunfermline, Scotland (Sports Network) - Dunfermline announced Friday that it has signed midfielder Mark Kerr from Greek side Asteras Tripolis on a contract until the end of the season.

Kerr, 29, has previously played in Scotland with Falkirk, Dundee United, and Aberdeen, and Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre believes he can be a major asset for the Pars.

"We are signing a player of real quality who will give us real energy in the middle of the park," McIntyre said. "He is a box-to-box midfielder, he can play the holding role or an attacking midfielder role, so he gives us good options."
