London, England (Sports Network) - U.S. Open champ Juan Martin del Potro rallied from a set down to beat Swede Robin Soderling Saturday in the semifinals of the ATP World Finals.
The towering Argentine earned a 6-7 (1-7), 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) decision and will now face Nikolay Davydenko in Sunday's final.
The Russian notched a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 victory over world No. 1 Roger Federer in Saturday's first semifinal match to reach the final of the season-ending tournament for the second straight year.
Davydenko lost last year's title match to Novak Djokovic when the tournament was contested in Shanghai. He had lost each of his previous 12 meetings with Federer, but got the better of the 15-time Grand Slam champ on Saturday.
The Russian star will try for his 19th career title on Sunday and his fifth this year. He has won each of his previous four finals in 2009, winning at Hamburg, Umag, Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai.
Del Potro, meanwhile, will aim to collect the eighth crown of his career and fourth in 2009. He has won at Washington and Auckland in addition to his triumph at the U.S. Open.
Bob and Mike Bryan will battle Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram in the doubles final.
