Costa released from hospital

Barcelona, Spain (Sports Network) - Spanish Davis Cup captain Albert Costa was released from a hospital after being admitted with heart-related problems on Thursday.

Costa was admitted to and released from a hospital near Barcelona after complaining of chest pains, heart palpitations and hypertension.

The 34-year-old Costa, best known for winning the French Open title back in 2002, just led Spain to a second straight Davis Cup title in his first year on the job as captain. Team Spain, led by former top-ranked superstar Rafael Nadal, swept the visiting Czech Republic 5-0 in last week's Davis Cup final in Barcelona, with the title marking Spain's fourth of the decade.

Costa was on Spain's first Davis Cup-winning team in 2000.
