Bellucci beats Gonzalez, will meet Monaco in Chile final

Santiago, Chile (Sports Network) - Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci ousted top- seeded Chilean Fernando Gonzalez in one of Saturday's semifinals to reach the title match at the $450,000 Movistar Open tennis event.

The third-seeded Bellucci will meet second seed Juan Monaco, who beat qualifier Joao Souza, 6-1, 6-4, in the other semifinal.

Bellucci took a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Gonzalez, who won this event, previously held in Vina del Mar, in each of the last two years, as well as four times overall.

Now Bellucci will play for his second career title, as he won at Gstaad last year.

The Argentine Monaco, the 2008 runner-up here to Gonzalez, made quick work of Souza and will go for his fourth career title. All of his three title match wins came in 2007.

Monaco and Bellucci have never faced each other in an ATP event, and the winner will collect $68,450.
