Bondarenko, Wickmayer advance to Birmingham final

Birmingham, England (Sports Network) - 12th-seeded Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko and Belgian Yanina Wickmayer both scored straight-set victories in Saturday's semifinals of the $200,000 DFS Classic, a grass-court Wimbledon tuneup.
Bondarenko cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win over New Zealander Marina Erakovic on Day 6 at Edgbaston Priory Club to advance to Sunday's final, Bondarenko's first.
Wickmayer ousted American Bethanie Mattek 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) to clinch her first appearance in a final.
This week's winner will collect $31,000.
