Vancouver racked up a big 5-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche Saturday, and they currently sit in eighth place in the Western Conference. The Flyers are looking to extend their seven-game win streak to eight tonight, after defeating the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday 5-4. Netminder Carter Hart is a brick wall between the pipes, carrying a record of 2.58 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Sean Couturier is heading up the team with 20 goals while Claude Giroux has tallied 40 assists. Giroux had three points when his team met the Oilers. The Flyers top the league in faceoff win percentages at 56.3%. Their power play and penalty kill rankings come in at 16.2% and 76.4%, respectively.
This game should be intense, with both competitors looking to keep their dominant play rolling. The Flyers are fighting for a piece of history Monday night, hoping to snag a coveted 2,000 win to make them the first NHL Expansion team to reach the milestone.
