The Vancouver Canucks take on the Philadelphia Flyers Monday night in a contest where both teams are looking to carry on their hot streaks.

The Canucks have won three of their last five games, and are 12-12-3 on the road. Elias Pettersson is making a splash in Vancouver, leading the team in points with 46 total. Bo Horvat is on a four-game point streak, putting up for assists and one goal. Vancouver racked up a big 5-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche Saturday, and they currently sit in eighth place in the Western Conference. The Canucks power play is ranked 21st in the league, while their penalty kill is tied for 16th at 79.5%

The Flyers are looking to extend their seven-game win streak to eight tonight, after defeating the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday 5-4. Netminder Carter Hart is a brick wall between the pipes, carrying a record of 2.58 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Sean Couturier is heading up the team with 20 goals while Claude Giroux has tallied 40 assists. Giroux had three points when his team met the Oilers. The Flyers top the league in faceoff win percentages at 56.3%. Their power play and penalty kill rankings come in at 16.2% and 76.4%, respectively.

This game should be intense, with both competitors looking to keep their dominant play rolling. The Flyers are fighting for a piece of history Monday night, hoping to snag a coveted 2,000 win to make them the first NHL Expansion team to reach the milestone.
