The whole Eli Manning benching saga seems to be coming to an end after one week.
The Giants fired coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese on Monday morning and according to ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan, Manning will take back his role as starting quarterback against the Cowboys in Week 14.
"The Giants are expected to go back to Eli Manning as their starting quarterback, per source. Giants play at home vs Cowboys this week." (@JordanRaanan)
Raanan's report confirms what Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said he had heard when McAdoo's firing was announced.
The Giants are just 2-10 and it's hard to see them making Geno Smith or rookie Webb Davis their quarterback of the future. Even if the team decides to move on from Manning after this season, the team's ownership is aware of the outrage that fans showed them over the past week and they want to make amends for that. The Giants started to clean house and they're just getting started.
